What is the Proper and Safest Position for Hunt Seat (English) Riding?

The Hunt seat is also sometimes called the "Forward Seat." Ideally, a champion hunt seat rider has a very secure position. This includes proper leg position, weight in heels, soft hands, good posture, balanced seat, eyes up and looking ahead to where they are heading. When working over fences, the rider should be looking ahead towards the next fence.
