Horseback Riding Summer Camps

Summer camps at Pony Brook Stables encourage local youth and young adults to “horse around”. Campers will safely learn to work, live, love and grow with horses and ponies.

Our camps promote physical activity, self-worth, and good sportsmanship. There are different camp options to choose from, some focusing on skill level and others based around what the campers will learn. Anyone wanting to learn how to properly care for horses can find a camp this summer at Pony Brook Stables.

2011 Summer Camp Schedule

Camp Rules

All students must wear blue jeans, breeches or jodhpurs and riding boots or hard soled shoes. Extra shorts, t-shirts, and casual shoes can be brought to change into during casual time.
Certified ASTM and CSI riding helmets must be worn when in the presence of a horse or horses. Pony Brook Stables has limited helmets available.
Students need to bring their own lunch and drink. A refrigerator is available. A water drinking container is highly recommended so that it can be refilled throughout the day.
All students must have a liability form filled out before they are allowed into the barn area near the horses.
Due to the weight limitations for our horses and sensitive issues involving children and weight, Pony Brook Stables asks that if a child is considered obese that their parent speaks to Wilene before signing up for camp.
